International Forum on Women's Brain and Mental Health 2019 - 2020

Life Science Zurich is supporting the Women's Brain Project (WBP) with  of it's yearly flagship event the International Forum on Women's Brain and Mental Health.

Open Innovation in Life Sciences 2018 - 2022

LSZ is supporting the organization of the annual conference organized by Open Innovation in Life Sciences. The conference is a premier life science meeting motivated and organized by early career researchers. The program consists of keynote lectures, science pitches, poster sessions, and panel discussions that aim to:

  • Foster interactions among early career researchers in all life science fields as well as explore career development in the context of open science.

  • Enhance interactions between academia, industry, and society by bringing together all relevant stakeholder groups to discuss topics pertaining to open science and innovation.

TRANSLATIONAL MEDICINE IN ZURICH, 22 January 2018

LSZ Impact is the brand for events organized by the Life Science Zurich Business Network. The first LSZ Impact activity was on Translational Medicine in Zurich, which took place on 22 January 2018. This one-day multi-track meeting  provided scientists from academia and industry a platform to present their life sciences projects to potential collaboration partners as well as investors. 300 participants attended event clearly focused on early stage projects in pharma, biotech and medtech. The pilot conference concentrated on the fields of cancer, immunology & infection and neurosciences.

Annual Meeting of the Life Sciences Switzerland LS2 2013

On January 31 and February 1 2013, Life Science Zurich hosted the annual Life Science Switzerland LS2 meeting (formerly known as USGEB) at the University of Zurich Irchel campus.

The titel of the meeting (R)evolutions in Biology indicates the focus on innovations and breakthroughs in biology. For the first time three special events for young academics were planned as part of the meeting.

As in previous years the industry exhibition and the poster sessions were an important part of the meeting.

Annual USGEB meeting 2011

In January 2011, Life Science Zurich organised the annual USGEB Meeting "Imaging Life" at the University of Zurich. The meeting focused on the newest imaging techniques.

Biodiversity - A challenge of the 21st Century 2010

In November 2010, a symposium entitled «Biodiversität - A challenge of the 21st Century» took place at the ETH Zurich. The symposium's primary target audience was the interested public. The panel discussion at the end of the symposium evolved in cooperation with the Tages-Anzeiger.

Prion Diseases 2007

The symposium in 2007 in honour of Professor Charles Weissmann was dedicated to prion diseases. Professor Weissmann's outstanding performance vastly contributed to the success of prion disease research in Zurich.
