LSZ Impact Conference – The Cause of Health in a nutshell: Exciting keynotes from leading experts, highly interactive focused parallel sessions, lively panel discussion, great networking opportunities and even a citizen science live experience. Life Science Zurich is supporting the Women's Brain Project (WBP) with of it's yearly flagship event the International Forum on Women's Brain and Mental Health.
LSZ is supporting the organization of the annual conference organized by Open Innovation in Life Sciences. The conference is a premier life science meeting motivated and organized by early career researchers. The program consists of keynote lectures, science pitches, poster sessions, and panel discussions that aim to:
Foster interactions among early career researchers in all life science fields as well as explore career development in the context of open science.
Enhance interactions between academia, industry, and society by bringing together all relevant stakeholder groups to discuss topics pertaining to open science and innovation.
LSZ Impact is the brand for events organized by the Life Science Zurich Business Network. The first LSZ Impact activity was on Translational Medicine in Zurich, which took place on 22 January 2018. This one-day multi-track meeting provided scientists from academia and industry a platform to present their life sciences projects to potential collaboration partners as well as investors. 300 participants attended event clearly focused on early stage projects in pharma, biotech and medtech. The pilot conference concentrated on the fields of cancer, immunology & infection and neurosciences.
Am 31. Januar und 1. Februar 2013 organisierte Life Science Zurich an der Universität Zürich das alljährliche Meeting von Life Sciences Switzerland LS2.
Unter dem Titel «(R)evolutions in Biology» konzentrierte sich das Meeting auf Innovationen und Durchbrüche in der Biologie. Zum ersten Mal wurden für Nachwuchsforschende drei Spezialanlässe angeboten.
Wie in früheren Jahren waren die Industrieausstellung und die Poster-Sessions wichtige Bestandteile der Konferenz.
Im Januar 2011 hat Life Science Zurich das USGEB-Meeting «Imaging Life» an der Universität Zürich durchgeführt. Das Meeting fokussierte auf die neusten Imaging Techniken.
Im November 2010 fand an der ETH Zürich das Symposium «Biodiversität - Eine Herausforderung des 21. Jahrhunderts» statt. Der Anlass richtete sich in erster Linie an die interessierte Öffentlichkeit. Die Podiumsdiskussion am Schluss des Symposiums wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Tages-Anzeiger durchgeführt.
Das Symposium «Prion Diseases» wurde 2007 zu Ehren von Professor Charles Weissmann veranstaltet und war deshalb dem Thema Prionenerkrankungen gewidmet. Die ausserordentlichen Leistungen von Professor Weissmann haben massgebend zur Prionenforschung in Zürich beigetragen.
