Leonardo Art, Science, Evening Rendezvous (LASER)

Artists and Scientists merging together in one evening.

The Leonardo Art, Science, Evening Rendezvous (LASER) in Zurich features talks by renowned artists, scientists and hybrids. It takes place on the first Tuesday of each month. LASER Zurich offer an international platform for the discussion of paradigmatic shifts within the scientific research, the implementation of new technologies and the ongoing development of artistic research. It also aims to create a network for artists and scientists to meet and discuss their research, while furthering the discourse of significant issues within these trans-disciplinary groups and practices.

LASER Zurich is part of Leonardo's (The International Society for Arts, Sciences, and Technology, Leonardo/ISAST) international program of evening gatherings that bring artists and scientists together for informal presentations and conversations. Founded in 2008, LASER talks are now happening in over a dozen places internationally: Zurich, University of San Francisco, Stanford University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, New York City, London, Tacoma, Toronto, Montreal and Kansas State University.
