Exposure Science Film Hackathon - for the first time in Zurich!


Are you interested in exploring how to tell stories, communicate science and make films? Exposure Science Film Hackathon (ESFH) brings together filmmakers, storytellers and scientists to create short science films in just three days. Team of four, created by the organisers work with the help of highly skilled scientists, science communicators and filmmakers from around the world. The Hackathon is taking place from 15 to 17 March 2019. Applications are open! Register hereto participate.

A few days after the hackathon, on the 20 March the films will be screened at KOSMOS for the public to engage with the films and their creators.

Science Filmmaking Marathon

How do we scientists communicate complex concepts and detailed content in ways that are appropriate for the wide audience?

Join the science filmmaking marathon to learn how to use filmmaking to communicate your research to the public. You will be inspired and challenged and work with filmmakers during four intensive days to produce a a short film in a small group. A selection of the produced films will be screened at the 2nd Global Science Film Festival in November 2019.

The marathon will take place from 17 - 20 September 2019. Scientists, Postdocs, PhD and Master students enrolled at a Swiss higher education institution can participate.
